Terms of Service

What this is

parentfeed.ai reads your school email and summarizes what needs your attention. It is a personal project offered free of charge by an individual parent. It is not a product of Tessellations School, and the school is not responsible for it.

Who can use it

Access is limited to parents and guardians with an account in the school’s domain. You must be at least 18. Don’t share your account, and don’t use someone else’s.

The important one: verify before you act

The digest is generated by an AI model reading your email. It can misread a date, miss an item entirely, invent a detail, or mark something handled that isn’t. Treat it as a helpful summary, never as the source of truth. Before you act on a deadline, payment, permission slip, or anything that matters, open the original email — every card links to it. If the digest and the email disagree, the email is right.

Your Google account

You grant read-only access to your Gmail and to an app-private folder in your Drive. You can revoke it at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately stops all access. How that data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

• Don’t try to access another parent’s data or bypass the sign-in gate.
• Don’t scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.
• Don’t redistribute information about other families that reaches you through school mail.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. There is no guarantee it will be available, accurate, timely, or free of errors. It may go down, change, or stop entirely without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for anything arising from a missed deadline, missed event, missed payment, or other consequence of relying on the digest. Because the service is free, total liability is limited to zero dollars. This is exactly why the “verify before you act” section above matters.

Availability and termination

The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Access may be removed for anyone who misuses it. You can stop using it whenever you like by revoking access in your Google account.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated; the effective date above will change when they are. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
